Moms, Dads, Sons, Daughters, & Couples this will find this event to be a fun, bonding experience with a little mud (rain depending, it could be a lot of mud), sweat and cheer. If you are in good physical condition, have a good pair of running shoes, paddling skills and a mountain bike, then you are ready. It will be a great time in the beautiful outdoors. Parts of the course will be marked, but some map and compass skills will be required. Teams looking for a more challenging course option will be able to get their fill also. There will be different cutoff times at different points in the race to lengthen the course. The teams that make the cutoff times will be allowed to do a longer trail run and a longer, more technical mountain bike. Minimum age 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. ____ Come join us for 2+ hours of Family Fun Adventure. This adventure will expose you and your young one to the great outdoors. This will be a great bonding experience for your family by using communication skills, team work and lots of fun to finish this adventure. Minimal map skills are needed. Families will hike and paddle into the beautiful mountains of the Blue Ridge. The Odyssey Family Fun Adventure will have unsupported teams of 2, 3 and 4. Minimum age 6 years old. Challenge yourself to the extremes of the Flint Hills! This course will start in a 200m swim across Farnum Creek, followed by a 12 mi bike on roads/mtb single track trails, then for the final test--you'll hit Liminal Trail (racers have called this the most challenging trail they've run in Kansas) running the 5k distance. Mountain or Hybrid bike and helmet required. Race starts at 9am, check in will be from 8am to 8:30am at Shelter #3. Registration is limited to the 1st 25 racers registered. USARA NATIONAL QUALIFIER Breathtaking views, challenging terrain and captivating wilderness set the scene for this challenging and fun adventure. Join us in commemorating a friend, fellow adventure racer, and fellow search and rescue instructor, who died while training a few years ago. Krista spent many years training and instructing at the Civil Air Patrol's Search and Rescue School at Hawk Mountain, PA. Proceeds from the race will go to benefit that volunteer school. Teams of 2 or 3 racers will face the seemingly unending challenges of Hawk Mountain including: rugged trekking and orienteering, mountain biking, fixed ropes, team challenges, and paddling. Approximate distances: 20 miles of trekking and orienteering 5 miles of paved biking 14 miles of mountain biking 7 miles of canoe paddling Fun team challenges!

Extreme Discovery Sprint

3 or 4 person Co-Ed teams will navigate approximately 25 miles in the beatiful and rugged Flint Hills and "around" the largest lake in Kansas. All male or female teams can register/race and receive official rankings, but not official prizes. Plenty of mountain biking (single track, ORV, dirt/gravel/pavement and bushwacking if you want), trail running/trekking, orienteering (UTM), kayaking/canoeing and ropes (rappel, ascend and/or traverse). Top team finishes will be about 5 hrs, with most around 7 hrs. This race won't be a "walk in the park", but will be great for beginner and experienced teams alike--as long as you can find your way on a map! Prerace meeting on 10/9 at 6:30pm will offer ropes and UTM navigation class (free). Camping 10/9 and 10/10 free and post award dinner including in registration. Number of teams will be limited to 1st 60 racers registered.

It's back! Co-Ed teams of 3 or 4 will face the lake, the woods, hills and the trails again--expect some surprises on a totally new course. All male or female teams can register/race and receive official rankings, but not official prizes. Plenty of mountain biking (single track, ORV, dirt/gravel/pavement and bushwacking if you want), trail running/trekking, orienteering (UTM), kayaking/canoeing and ropes (rappel, ascend and/or traverse). The 50-60 miles of terrain and water will prove to be formidable. Expect an early start (headlamp required). Top teams will finish around 8 hrs and most will be out there 10-12 hrs. You will get dirty, bruised and exhausted while having more fun than anyone else in Kansas on race day. Registration will close after the 1st 60 racers are registered. Camping is free at Acorns Resort on 10/9 and 10/10. Post award dinner included. No prerace dinner due to check in/meeting and ropes class and certification (beginners welcome!) on 10/9 at 6:30PM.

The Edge Sprint Adventure Race is a great race for those new to the sport, as well as for those seasoned atfor those seasoned athletes looking for a challenge. We'll give you up to 6 hours to complete the course. Experience the beautiful Brandywine Valley in Northern Delaware. Race benefits environmental projects of local park. No navigational “plotting” experience required. If you can read a map, you can do this race! Approximate distances include..... 5 miles of running, trekking, orienteering; 10 miles of mountain biking 5 miles of canoe paddling plus fun team challenges. Grab some friends and come on out for a great, fun challenge!
