Spread the word for the 1st Annual PJK 5k and Fun Run, Sunday, June 3rd at Piers
Park in East Boston The event is a critical component of our school’s ongoing promotion
of wellness education for urban children and their families. The PJK 5K is a great opportunity for us to promote wellness
by bringing out students and their families to participate in a healthy event. The PJK 5K will also serve as an important fundraiser, as all proceeds from the race registrations will go toward
making improvements to our playground. In this way, the event will have a lasting impact on student wellness, by raising the
resources necessary for those students to enjoy an active learning and recreational environment while at school. Get
involved in our post race activities of music, zumba, and yoga while enjoying the best views of downtown in beautiful Piers
Park. Please spread the word and urge your friends and family to register online today at www.pjk5k.com All inquiries can be addressed to MaryBeth Hamwey mhamwey@boston.k12.ma.us.

Subject: looking for runners - Cape Cod Relay - Ragnar Relay Date: Apr 4, 2012 8:40 AM Hello,
Our team is doing the Ragnar
Relay ( www.ragnarrelay.com) 24 hour road relay from Plymouth to Ptown on May 11th and 12th
and we are looking for 4 more runners to complete our 12 person team. We’ve got the vans and the (free) overnight
accommodations (warm beds and showers and clean bathrooms J) at
the team captains homes in W.Yarmouth and in Dennis…but we are short some bodies. I was wondering if your club
had some runners that really wanted an “adventure”. This is our 3rd year running the relay and
we are very well organized and have a great time throughout the race especially at the finish line. Let me know when
you have a chance and thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
